Kona Vog - Before and After

I get a lot of people asking about the VOG and its effects on us. This is not caused by the usual Lava flows we have, what this is - is a new vent that opened up and is spewing out mostly VOG - no real lava coming from this vent, you know what - let me attach a photo of the vent! See the 5th & 6th photo's.

I have attached some before and after photos also - notice in the foreground - you can see the same trees, sign post, etc. These photos were taken from the same place, My home office.

We even took an exploratory visit to Oahu, to see about maybe moving over there until the VOG slows down - one week in Oahu, made it absolutely clear - NO WAY - I am so happy to be back home, VOG or not!
You will see in many of my post's - I refer "Oahu" to that song " They paved paradise and put up a parking lot "
I know Oahu is still a beautiful place, but after living on the Big Island, you just cant go back.
